The ICHC has been busy serving members of the community through health screenings and educational events over the past several months. Here are some photo highlights from recent events.
The Interprofessional Community Health Collaborative (ICHC) provides students and faculty working across different health professions the opportunity to work collaboratively to serve members of the the local community. ICHC events have included educational events covering topics such as preventing and managing high blood pressure, and most recently, a screening event that provided free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings. PACE
Nursing and medical students facilitated and led team discussions as part of an educational event at Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Ypsilanti on November 10, 2023. The event focused on managing high blood pressure and included education on nutrition, physical activity and adherence to medicine. Older adults traveled to PACE to participate in the session.

Parkway Meadows
ICHC hosted a screening event for residents of Parkway Meadows in Ann Arbor on November 30, 2024. Participants received blood pressure and blood glucose screenings from an interprofessional group that included nursing, pharmacy and medical students from the University of Michigan.
