U-M’s Edward Ginsberg Center—in partnership with the Michigan Center for Interprofessional Education (IPE)—has announced a new funding opportunity for team-based teaching and research: the Community Engagement Grants for Interprofessional Education. Grants up to $5,000 will be awarded to support interprofessional teams; each team must represent at least two different U-M schools and include at least one past or current Interprofessional Leadership Fellow. Applications for 2018 funding were due February 16, 2018.
These grants from the Ginsberg Center seek to engage faculty interested in advancing their scholarship, while enhancing the capacity of social sector community partners and communities through substantial, reciprocal engagement. Funding proposals are invited for teaching, research, and other educational activities focused on advancing equity and decreasing economic and racial disparities in Washtenaw County, Detroit, and other Southeast Michigan communities, especially in the areas of education, employment, and housing.
